RELIEF MANAGEMENT / LOCUM SERVICES

We offer a professional relief management service to owners who would like to enjoy a getaway, go away for business or attend to personal matters yet need to have the peace of mind knowing that their business has been left in capable and reliable hands.

We are available individually or as a couple for short to medium term locum or relief work, i.e. over weekends, for a few days or weeks and our services include on-site stay-overs or coming in daily.

Each of us has been involved in various Travel and Tourism industries including Hotel Groups, Boutique Hotels, Guest Houses and Restaurants for the past 45+ years.

We have managed on behalf of owners as well as ran our own successful businesses, through which we gained an integral understanding and passion for the hospitality service industry.

Since we value the importance of guest satisfaction, each of your guests will be made to feel welcome from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.

Any request, big or small, will be given priority at all times.

As a competent and experienced mature couple, we cope well under pressure and adjust to the routines at your establishment. We will take over and manage the everyday running of your business from the revenue aspects to staff management, guest relations and all services offered at your premises.

Our home base is in Port Elizabeth but we are prepared to travel to wherever our services are needed.

Once you have decided on your dates, we will meet with you to discuss your requirements and spend some time with you at your establishment to get an overview of your operations and meet with your Staff.

Should your establishment be further than 50 kms out of Port Elizabeth, we can make alternate arrangements to chat via Zoom, Skype,etc.

Our proficiencies include, but are not limited to:

  • Excellent Communications Skills with fluency in both English and Afrikaans with Nic being literate in Greek

  • Strong Guest Relations with a caring and genuine concern for the well-being of guests

  • Keen Administrative and Organization Strengths with a focus on systems and procedures

  • Excellent Computer Literacy of numerous programs (Microsoft, Wordpress, Pastel, Point of Sales – Pilot, Dinemaster)

  • Booking Systems and Procedures (Nightsbridge, Semper, Bookings.com, Travelground, various online portals, etc.)

  • Payment Systems (Paybrigde, Manual and Electronic Banking, etc.)

  • Catering for small to large groups – breakfast, lunches and suppers (for weddings, conferences and private functions, etc.)

  • Financial Aptitude in purchasing and stock control, budget management, invoicing and debt collecting of outstanding payments

  • Staff Management, compiling rosters and work schedules, dealing with unforeseen absenteeism (illness, strikes, etc), paying of wages

  • Marketing Savvy and a wide range of Social Media know-how

  • Attention to Detail on every level to maintain all your standards of cleanliness and hospitality

  • General Maintenance and Services - ability to carry out and oversee handyman repairs, building, pool & garden maintenance
